For quite a few sprints we worked on trying to use air gesture to change TV channels. A few sprints were dedicated to extending a menu used in titles during the 360/Kinect lauch. I worked on the interaction design and development of these prototypes on the XBox One Input and Interaction team - they were build with WPF/XAML and the NUI XDK. They use a series of cursor types and forcing functions. 2012,2013.XBox Air Gesture Menu - 2013 We researched the 360 title Dance Central title to learn the 1-D cursor implementation. I implemented a similar input pattern and added a second, horizontal selection stage. As we crafted other key supporting input patterns, we communicated them to the rest of the dash team.
