We handed off these specs to partner any partner designers and developers building our applications without directly working with AT&T designers. I helped with a handful of design 2.0 pages, as well as on reviews of the connected car guide. A major issue with the 1.0 and especially the 2.0 systems where the overloaded brand language throughout the UX which most vendors had an extreamly hard time implementing late in the game, when designs at AT&T got finalized. This is especially with in the ever changing OS landscape effecting design choices everywhere. Many UX implementations could appear sub par or dated right out of the gate. I was a part of the upcoming 3.0 design systems which is a radical divergance in approach. In 3.0, instead of focusing on describing reference designs, we focus on using native controls, and interaction pattern best practices to help minimize brand language and get a clean implmentation at launch.
